In its unrelenting effort to promote learning and Knowledge acquisition among indigent students in Lagos and its environment, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan (KAO) Foundation gifted a Scholarship of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) to an undergraduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Miss Wusamotu Adebisi Jinadu in Central Business District, Lagos.
While presenting the cheque to Miss Jinadu and her parents in his office, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan charged the beneficiary to study very hard and set a goal for herself to realise her future dream.
“I want to thank Prince Oyekan and KAO Foundation for their support and kindness towards me and my family. I pray that God will continue to bless them”, Miss Jinadu said while responding to questions from Citizen Magazine.
In the same vein, a sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) was given to a Lagos Junior Secondary School Student, Miss Kanyinsola Yusuf.
Miss Kanyinsola Yusuf is a student of Government Secondary Girls School (GSGS), Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Citizen Magazine recall that Miss Yusuf emerged the overall Best Student in a Debate Competition organised by KAO Foundation during a Summer Coaching held between August to September 2022.
” Though we did not plan the Cash gift Prize but during the Debate Competition, I was impressed with the performance of Miss Kanyinsola Yusuf, so my Team and I decided to reward her to encourage her and other Participants”, Prince Oyekan recalled.
In her remark, the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District 3, Dr. (Mrs.) Idowu Olufunke Oyetola commended Prince Oyekan for his contribution to the development of education in Lagos State.
“Prince Taiwo Oyekan, you are indeed a partner in progress with the Lagos State Government and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu. I am very happy about this gesture. We look forward to more Partnership in future.
“I will present the issuance of Scholarship by KAO Foundation to the Lagos State Honourable Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo”, Dr. Oyetola said.
“Together we will take Education to Greater Height in Lagos State”, She continued.
The Tutor General advised Miss Yusuf to continue to make Lagos State Education District 3 proud.
She urged the parents to open a Bank account with the scholarship grant to support Miss Yusuf’s Education.
“I want to say a very big Thank you to Prince Taiwo Oyekan and Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation for the Scholarship given to me. I am very grateful”, Miss Kanyinsola Yusuf said.
In her response, Kanyinsola’s mother expressed appreciation to Prince Taiwo Oyekan for his Philanthropic activities and continued support.

On Friday 21st October 2022, the Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan (KAO) Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan led his Team members to donate an Electric Generator Set to Holy Trinity Primary School, Ebute Ero, Lagos Island, Lagos.
This is in fulfilment of the pledge he made during a Summer Coaching held in the School Premises between August and September, 2022.
The HeadTeacher had requested for an Electric Generator Set From The Foundation.
To Receive the Electric Generator Set on behalf of the School management were the School Head Teacher, Mr. Adeleye Adetola, Assistant Head Teachers, Mrs. Titilayo Etti and Mrs. Morufat Makusota. The Teachers: Mr. Ayandipe Adetayo, Mrs. Amori Akorede and Mrs. Kabirat Suenu, the Head Boy, Master Adebayo Idris and Head Girl, Miss Azeezat Ajuwon.
“On behalf of the School management, Teachers and Pupils, I expressed my sincere appreciation to Prince Oyekan for the gift”, the Headteacher said.
