The Secretary to Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Wale Seriki has paid tribute to his late father, Ambassador Ademola Seriki, Nigerian Ambassador to Spain.

Citizen NewsNG had earlier reported the passage of Seriki in the early hours of Thursday in Spain following the announcement made by the children of the deceased.

He was aged 63.

On his verified Facebook page, the Council Secretary wrote:

We are never ready to say goodbye to a loved one forever even though we know it is a part of life. No one wants to lose a loved one, the resulting emotion could tear one apart and is hard for every soul.

The loss of a Father like you is something that can never be recovered. You have always been an important part of my life.

I pray for your departed soul, You have accomplished many good things in life. You worked hard and always followed the path of honesty. You sleep well, my Dearest Father. God has a beautiful reward for you. With teardrops running down my face, I bid you farewell once again.

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, You live on Daddy. You are an inspiration to the whole world. You were full of faith, courage, and strength. I wish you farewell in your journey to eternity. You’d never be forgotten Daddy. We love you Forevermore.❤️❤️❤️🕊️
