Dr. Enitan Dolapo Badru, a Frontline Member of the Nigerian House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee On Industry felicitates Muslims on Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1 and across the world for the successful conclusion of the Holy month of Ramadan and this year’s Eid-el-Fitr Celebration.
In a Press statement, Dr. Badru urged Muslims to show love and compassion to one another through Zakat; Sacrifical giving to the Less-Priviledged in the society and Philanthropic activities.
“The El-el-Fitr Celebration is a reminder for Muslims to be grateful for what they have as well as to help the less fortunate.To give zakat, one of the five pillars of Islam”, Dr. Badru reiterated.
He also charged Muslims to practice the teachings of Prophet Muhammed.
Dr. Badru however asked Nigerians to pray for the country and the Leadership. This, he said, is necessary for the betterment of the Nation and the Citizenry.
Eid- el-Fitr is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, which is the tenth month in the Muslim (lunar) calendar.
It is an Islamic festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk each day. It is the first time Muslims can eat during daylight hours after fasting during Ramadan.

Eid Mubarak !” Dr. Badru concluded.
