This 18-Year-Old Lady Is Youngest Chartered Accountant In Ghana
Hannah Ann Enyan, a former student of Labone Senior High School, is the youngest chartered accountant in Ghana at the age of 18.
She was one of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG) of Ghana’s graduating class of 2021.
The ceremony was held at the University of Professional Studies in Accra’s 36th Graduation ceremony.
Additionally, it provided the framework for awarding certificates to those who passed all three levels of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Professional Exams as well as codified the admission of new members into the Institute.
Other people who met the standards based on an evaluation of their training at comparable professional accounting bodies received awards as well.
A total of 425 qualified accountants and 105 Chartered Diplomas were given out, while the Institute welcomed 421 new members.
The achievement of Miss Enyan, a native of Winneba, was attributed to God’s favour, the Institute’s management and lecturers, as well as her family.
The youngest Chartered Accountant specifically named Mr Samuel Nii Sampah, the finance officer of the construction company Queioz Galvao Group, as the person who motivated her to focus and be dedicated to the programme, which led to her perseverance and tenacity to finish the course.
The University of Cape Coast alumna Ms Mmabila Deborah Azika was selected as the Institute’s overall best level-three applicant.
The Institute’s President, Professor Williams Atuilik, reminded the Institute’s new members and graduates that honesty, which is essential for professional success in the accounting field, is at the profession’s very core.
He remarked, “We anticipate that, as qualified special accountants from the Institute, you will broaden your horizons by viewing other incidental disciplines that are essential to help you become really competent accountants.
