The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says four persons were killed in an accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Monday.
According to the FRSC, the accident involved a luxury bus and a truck, noting that the auto crash was believed to have been caused by over-speeding.
Florence Okpe, the public education officer for the FRSC in Ogun, said the truck did not stop after the bus rammed into it while travelling through a bend around “Kara’’ axis on the expressway.
Okpe also said that 21 persons comprising 13 men and eight women, were involved in the accident.
She added that the injured victims were taken to Famobis hospital while the bodies of those who died were deposited at Idera morgue in Sagamu area of Ogun.
On September 17, at least five people died after a bus and a pickup van collided into a fallen truck along Foursquare camp on the same expressway.
Seven days ago, a man died and seven other persons were injured in an accident involving 16 persons at the Magboro Bus stop along the road.
