The lawyer defending Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley, in the Mohbad’s demise case, has stepped into the ring to proclaim his client’s innocence with all guns blazing.
He’s confidently stating that there’s not a shred of evidence to support the allegations that his client killed or assaulted the late singer before his unfortunate demise.
Mohbad’s demise triggered a firestorm of speculation, with many Nigerians accusing Naira Marley and his counterpart Sam Larry of being involved in the circumstances surrounding the young singer’s death.
Naira Marley, who was recently detained in police custody alongside Sam Larry, made several statements denying any involvement or responsibility for Mohbad’s death.
Reacting, in a recent tête-à-tête with media personality Daddy Freeze, Naira Marley’s legal representative stood firm, declaring that no matter how hard anyone tries, they won’t find a smoking gun to pin the Rapper to his former protégé, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad’s untimely demise.
He argued that if anyone were to dig deep and turn over every stone, they’d come up empty-handed in their pursuit of evidence linking Naira Marley to any alleged bullying of Mohbad.
His words
‘’As for Naira Marley, I believe very strongly that no matter how hard you look, you will not find a single incident where Naira Marley bullied him”
The lawyer also stepped up to bat for Naira Marley’s close associate, SamLarry, who stands accused of bullying Mohbad during his lifetime.
In his statement, he emphatically stated that the video circulating online, depicting SamLarry’s altercation with Mohbad during a music video shoot, paints an incomplete picture of the situation. He claimed there’s a more extended version of the video that shows the three of them sharing a meal of Amala afterward.
The lawyer danced around the topic of Zlatan, suggesting he doesn’t want to spill the beans, but he hopes the singer will step up and shed light on what truly transpired that day. He hinted that he’s privy to what Zlatan relayed to Davido and others regarding the events of that fateful day.
