The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed on Monday that there would be an increase in the registration fees for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to N7,700 and N6,200.
The announcement came as the examination body commenced the registration process for the 2024 UTME/Direct Entry.
In a statement on its official handle, JAMB stated, “This is to inform all prospective 2024 UTME/DE candidates that the creation of profiles for registration has officially started, while the sale of application documents will commence on Monday, January 15, 2024.”
JAMB specified the registration fee at “N7,700 for UTME registration inclusive of a mock examination, and N6,200 for UTME registration without the mock examination.” Additionally, the sale of application documents for foreign candidates is set at $30.
The registration deadlines were also outlined by JAMB: 28 March, 2024, for the 2024 DE application; 7 March for the 2024 UTME mock examination, and 10 April for printing 2024 UTME examination slips.
Prospective candidates are urged to take note of these dates as they prepare for the upcoming examinations.
