Three persons reportedly died on Wednesday while six others sustained injuries in two separate road crashes along Sagamu-Benin-Ore Expressway.
Our correspondent gathered that the accident occurred at the J4 area of the highway.
The first accident involved two vehicles with registration number AGL254HF Chevrolet, an unmarked vehicle and a Boxer Bajaj motorcycle.
Witnesses said the crash which occurred at J4 Junction occurred around 8:55am left one dead, while one person was injured.
The spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Florence Okpe, said four persons were involved in the accident.
She said the suspected cause of the crash was speeding which made the vehicle to veer off the road.
She said the injured victim was taken to Hope Clinic while the corpse was deposited at the General Hospital Ijebu-Ode mortuary.
Okpe said the second crash occurred at about 12:00pm few metres after J4 involving 13 persons.
She said five persons were injured with the record of two deaths.
Okpe said the injured victims were taken to Hope clinic J4 for medical attention, while the corpses deposited at Ore General Hospital mortuary.
She said the Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, warned motorists against dangers associated with speeding.
He also advised motorists to drive cautiously and obey traffic rules.
