Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced that he would be addressing Lagosians on Thursday on the current economic hardship that has plagued the country.
This was made in a statement by the state’s Commissioner of information and SInformationenga Omotoso, on Wednesday evening.
According to him, the move arose as a result of questions arising from its citizens, especially on how to mitigate the rough times affecting food security, environment, health, physical planning, and infrastructure, among others.
The statement read, “What plans does the Lagos State Government have for its citizens in these tough times? How does the journey to a Greater Lagos – In food security, the environment, health, physical planning, infrastructure, and others?
“These and many others are some of the questions that Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will address on Thursday in a Media Chat. The time is 11:15 am.
“He will be answering questions from frontline journalists drawn from Channels TV, Arise, TVC, and LTV.
“The interaction will also be aired live by some radio stations, including Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 FM and Eko FM 89.7.”
Omotoso further said that the governor would also announce some key policies on the welfare of Lagosians.
“We will let our people know what we have done and what we will be doing about their welfare, their lives and livelihoods. We will not leave them to their own devices,” the statement added.
This is coming after Sanwo-Olu held a Lagos West Town Hall meeting on January 25.
