A second year student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, identified simply as Chioma, has allegedly poured hot water on the president of her hostel, identified as Mark.

According to a Facebook source, Valentine Mbadugha, said the incident occurred on Saturday, 17 February 2024, at Twins Fall Lodge, Ifite-Awka, adding that the female student also stabbed him.

It was gathered that the whole disagreement began when both students was said to have started sanitation on school hostel where both of them lived.

Chioma was said to have reacted violently when Mark reminded her of her duty to join others in cleaning the hostel.

Though details of the attack is still sketchy, Mbadugha noted that Mark had been taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

The state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga could not confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.
