As Part of his efforts to cushion the effect of Prevailing economic challenges in the Country, the Leader of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Olakunle Williams has gifted Three Hundred (300) Bags of Assorted Food Items to Residents and Muslims in Lafiaji Community, Lagos Island, Lagos.
Constituents received Food Packs containing Rice, Semovita and Garri amidst excitement.
According to Hon. Williams, the Intervention Initiative tagged ‘RAMADAN PALLIATIVE’ was organised to alleviate Hardship among Residents and Complement Hon. Dr. Muibi Alade Folawiyo’s Periodic Community Market and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s Food Bank Scheme.
In his Speech during the Presentation Ceremony, Hon. Williams said: “I have decided to give my little support to the people of Lafiaji Community, especially my Political ward during this Ramadan period”.
The Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Council Legislator and reiterated their unwavering supports for him.
In the past, Hon. Williams had executed Community Projects and provided Social Welfare Packages for the Locals.
Present at the Ramadan Palliative Programme were the Deputy Leader, Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Olakunle Williams, Community Leaders, Residents, Community Development Association Members, Artisans among others.
