Nollywood Actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, aka Junior Pope, who drowned in River Niger during a movie production has been revived,

Citizen NewsNG reported earlier that the actor drowned in River Niger during a movie production.

A colleague, Sam Olatunji had confirmed the reported death on Wednesday.

“Junior Pope Passes on. Sad day for Nollywood”, he posted on his social media handle.

“Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their way to location and their bodies have been recovered. What a sad day for Nollywood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

“Multiple sources confirm this sad development to us.”

However, according to the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Rollas, Junior Pope was revived and he is receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
