Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola a.k.a Portable has returned to studio after his release from police custody.
Video of the singer’s arrest for defaulting on the payment plan for his G-Wagon SUV, went viral on Wednesday, May 15.
The “Zazu” crooner purchased the high-end vehicle, valued at N27 million, but only managed to pay N13 million upfront, leaving a debt of N14 million. The dealer, exasperated by Portable’s consistent claims that the car was faulty and his refusal to settle the outstanding amount, decided to involve the police.
However, less than a day after his release from police custody, Portable has released a new song called “Spiderman,” drawing comparisons between the Marvel superhero and his fence-jumping escape.
The new song “Spiderman” is a response to his recent arrest, with Portable hinting at his determination to continue chasing his dreams despite the challenges he faces.
Sharing a snippet of the song on his Instagram, he wrote, “They chase me, I dey chase dream”.
Produced by 2tuponthebeat, the song references the singer’s agility and quick thinking.
