The Couple

The Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) in Lagos hosted its first-ever wedding in the open space of its ticketing hall.
The event was held at the MMA’s terminal 2 on Saturday as a part of a novel initiative dubbed “My Airport Wedding”.
A couple, Alli Olamide Miracle and Agboola Abiodun Qudus, exchanged their vows in the backdrop of departing and arriving flights.
Present at the event were members of the bride and groom’s families, friends, and travelling observers who opted to share in the moment.
Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, head of corporate communications at Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, the company operating the initiative, emphasised that the event is intended as an interplay between travel, entertainment, and aviation industries.
joseph_giver wrote, “How? How does this promote the Nigeria’s traveling industry? Just say the truth, you people are not meeting your revenue target so you’re using the hall as a makeshift event center while people are traveling to generate revenue.”
