Governor Kabiru Abba Yusuf of Kano State has ordered the immediate closure of bank accounts belonging to all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) in the state.

The directive was issued during an ongoing meeting with the Chairman of the Kano State Internal Revenue Service and various heads of MDAs at the Government House on Wednesday.

Governor Yusuf explained that the measure is part of a broader effort to ensure that all government revenues are properly accounted for and used effectively for the state’s development.
