Two officers of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have been taken hostage by armed gunmen.

Reports gathered allege that around 8:00 pm, as the officer and his orderly were heading home, some well armed men forcefully took them both while they were still close to the head office of the NDLEA.

The armed men knowing their victim’s routes and time schedule laid an ambush for them around Isah-Ogwashi-Uku Road in the Aniocha South local government area of the state.

Other sources aware of the incident suggests that a back-stabbing insider could have been providing the kidnappers with information about the victims movement.

The spokesperson of the NDLEA State Command, Mr John Kennedy, refused to make any comment on the matter when contacted by a correspondent of the Daily Post.
