The Moyo Ogunlewe Empowerment Foundation has successfully concluded its comprehensive healthcare initiative for 2024, having provided free medical services to senior citizens across all 130 Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Kosofe Local Government Area.
The door-to-door programme offered complimentary medical consultations, diagnoses, and medications where necessary, receiving widespread commendation from beneficiaries and residents alike.
Responding to public appeal for the programme’s continuation, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, founder of the foundation and Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, announced that the initiative would transition from an annual event to a quarterly programme.
“This healthcare outreach which is in line with the THEMES+ Agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has come to stay. Rather than being a one-off or yearly event, it will now be conducted quarterly to better serve our aged population,” Ogunlewe stated.
The announcement has been met with appreciation from community members, who expressed gratitude through prayers and commendations for the chairman’s empathetic approach to elderly healthcare delivery.
