Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has opened up in a recent interview about delicate details of her life and her relationship with her father.

Speaking with her colleague Bisola Adebayo, on her talk show Talk to B, Iyabo gave intimate details of how she was raped five times on different occasions during her younger years.

She disclosed that she grew up with her grandmother who was half Delta and half Igbo and did not know her mother until she was about seven years old.

Iyabo stated that we lived in a country where rape apologists walked freely and she unapologetically had no love for them.

Maintaining her stance against the culture, she also insisted that no matter who it was, as long as the matter involved rape she would do all she could to bring the person to justice.

“I was raped five times in my life. I discovered we have a lot of rape apologists. I don’t care who the person is; if that person is my son, I am going to come for him unapologetically,” she stated.

Speaking to her baffled host, the actress also revealed the turbulent relationship she shared with her father while he was alive.

Reliving the memories, she mentioned that her father battled with alcohol addiction and drug abuse throughout his life, saying that he “did everything” which led to his untimely death at 49.

Iyabo said, “My dad did everything, alcohol and drugs, so it messed him up at a young age. He died at 49.”

According to Iyabo, she said that as a result of their troubled relationship they even disowned each other at a certain point.
