Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for dismissing the recall petition against her, describing it as a failed attempt by sponsored individuals to undermine democracy.
INEC, on Thursday, ruled that the recall effort failed to meet constitutional requirements and would not proceed.
Reacting, Akpoti-Uduaghan declared that “anti-democratic forces”, including former Governor Yahaya Bello, had been defeated. She credited God and the unwavering support of Kogi Central residents for the outcome, stating that INEC upheld justice despite pressure from political forces.
She further mocked her opponents, saying their “days in politics are numbered”, as Nigerians now reject politicians known for violence, rigging, and corruption.
The Senator reaffirmed her commitment to justice, freedom, and good governance, thanking her supporters for standing by her.
