Ooni & Aláàfin

The Aláàfin of Oyo Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I has reacted to the furore generated by a viral video where he was captured greeting the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi while sitting down while the latter was standing.
The Aláàfin who spoke through his special assistant, Dr Kolade Oladele said contrary to insinuations about the incident, he “holds the Ooni of Ife in High Regard .

Describing the criticism and debates trailing the incident as making a mountain out of a molehill, the monarch said there were far more important issues confronting the race than argument over mundane matters.
He restated his commitment to working with other monarchs for the peace and development of the race.
