The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has warned against the rising influx of adulterated lubricants and engine oil, citing risks to vehicles, machinery, and the economy.
At a sensitisation workshop in Osogbo, SON Director-General, Dr. Ifeanyi Okeke, urged stakeholders to promote certified products, noting that substandard oils shorten engine lifespan, increase maintenance costs, and harm productivity. He called for collective action to ensure a safer, high-quality lubricants market.
