The current house of representatives Member representing Lagos Mainland constituency, Hon Olanrewaju Oshun lost his ward in the just concluded Lagos state local government elections to PDP candidate in his Abule Oja ward.

The PDP candidate, Babatunde Dosunmu polled 462 votes to defeat the APC Candidate Oladipupo Adeosun who scored 252.

The House of Representatives Member and the APC councillorship candidate both lost their polling units in the grassroot election.

A day to the election day, Lagos state NURTW Chairman, SEGO, Lagos state APC Chairman and other APC leaders came to beg the PDP candidate to withdraw from the race in other to avert imminent defeat by the PDP candidate but the residents of Abule Oja stood their ground that the house of representatives Member must not have his way to impose unpopular candidate on them.
