Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda has been appointed as the new National Chairman of the APC, succeeding Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned due to health issues. A former Plateau governorship candidate and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Yilwatda is an engineer with a background in digital systems and e-governance.

He previously coordinated the Tinubu/Shettima campaign in Plateau and is closely allied with former governor Simon Lalong.
