Nigeria has reported 822 confirmed Lassa fever cases and 155 deaths from January to July 20, 2025, according to the NCDC.

The case fatality rate rose to 18.9%, up from 17.1% in 2024. Most cases were recorded in Ondo, Bauchi, Edo, Taraba, and Ebonyi states.
