Resident doctors in the FCT have launched an indefinite strike after a failed seven-day warning strike, forcing patients, including pregnant women and children, to leave hospitals.
The doctors cite poor welfare, unpaid salaries, staff shortages, and lack of recruitment since 2011 as reasons for the action, warning that the health system in Abuja is at a breaking point.
