The Lagos State Government has commenced the removal of illegal developments and defective structures at the Trade Fair Complex in Ojo Local Government Area.

According to officials, the exercise targets buildings erected without statutory approvals, as well as structures sited on road setbacks and drainage channels within the complex.

Authorities explained that the move is part of ongoing efforts to restore order, safeguard public safety, and ensure compliance with the state’s urban planning regulations.

The government reiterated its commitment to enforcing building standards across Lagos, warning that similar clampdowns would extend to other areas where illegal constructions threaten lives and obstruct infrastructure.
