The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, has installed Barrister Oluwaseyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland.

The traditional installation ceremony, which attracted prominent personalities and well-wishers, marked the conferment of the revered Yoruba title on Seyi Tinubu in recognition of his contributions and growing influence within the Yoruba socio-cultural space.

The title of Okanlomo of Yorubaland is regarded as a prestigious honour within the Oyo traditional institution, symbolising leadership, service and commitment to the advancement of Yoruba interests.

Speaking at the event, the Alaafin, Oba Abimbola Owoade, urged the new title holder to uphold the values of integrity, unity and service to the Yoruba people, while using his position to promote peace and development across the region.
