Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has broken her silence following her recent arrest in Lagos, offering a fresh update on the controversy involving Grace Nation Bible Ministry founder, Pastor Chris Okafor.
The actress revealed that discussions aimed at resolving the dispute are currently underway, signaling a possible turning point in the highly publicized saga.
Ogala was arrested on Saturday by the Lagos State Police after publicly accusing the clergyman of failing to honor an alleged promise of marriage. She spent two nights in police custody before regaining her freedom on Monday afternoon, a development she said followed appeals for peace from the pastor.
Providing clarity on the situation, the actress disclosed that negotiations are ongoing and that she remains in Lagos to see how the talks unfold. According to her, she is approaching the situation cautiously while seeking spiritual guidance before deciding her next move.
“Talks is going on now, resolution is ongoing at the moment. I’m still in Lagos, I’m not back in Abuja. I want to know where it’s heading, and I want to know the end of this table talk,” she said.
Ogala further explained that she plans to take time to pray before making any final decisions, noting that she still has much to say about the situation. Despite her restraint, she hinted that several details remain undisclosed.
“I will come back, and I will seek God’s face. I will ask God the next direction, what should I do because at the moment, I don’t know what to do. I have a lot to say, I have a lot I want to reveal, I have a lot I want the world to learn from this,” Ogala added.
In an emotional moment, the actress expressed her desire to avoid escalating the matter, despite insisting she is prepared to speak her truth regardless of the consequences.
“At the same time, I don’t want to have anyone’s blood on my hand. This is still bad than anyone thinks. I haven’t said anything. I’m not afraid of anyone, I’m not afraid of going to jail. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak,” Ogala declared.
