The Anambra State Government, led by the  Solution Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has released the lineup of events for the highly anticipated ‘Ọnwa Dezemba’, a special Christmas extravaganza aimed at making December 2025 unforgettable in the minds of Ndi-Anambra.

According to the State information commissioner, Law Mefor, 18th December has been dedicated to youths with #onwadezemba City Block – ( For the GenZ, a fun-filled gathering with music, performances and other forms of entertainment),  6pm at Awka City Stadium (By Solution Fun City). December 20th is #onwadezemba Christmas Carol/Cankata at 4pm at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
December 25th is for the children with the #onwadezemba Children’s Christmas Festival at 2 pm at Solution Fun City. December 27th is #onwadezemba Ịgba Mmanwụ Festival at 2pm at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. On December 28th, the festival will move to Ekwulobia Township Stadium, where the #onwadezemba Ịgba Mmanwụ Festival will light up the town from 2 pm.
On the 29th of December, the train returns to Awka Township Stadium for the #Onwadezemba Novelty Match, starting at 2 pm. By December 29th, the #onwadezemba Ịgba Mmanwụ Festival will bring excitement to Onitsha, starting at 2 pm at Ezechima Primary School.
On the 30th of December, the grand homecoming of the musical superstar in concert code-named #onwadezemba Flavour Home Coming – (A special concert where Anambra’s popular musician, Flavour n’Abanịa, returns to Anambra State for a special performance), at 5pm, will light up the Solution Fun City.
The activities will not end without promoting healthy living. On January 3rd, the #onwadezemba Walk for Life will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. By 5 PM same day #onwadezemba LOL (Laugh Out Loud) Anambra – (A comedy show/stand-up comedy night where comedians perform live, aiming to make the audience laugh out loud), will happen at the Solution Fun City.
On the 4th of January, #onwadezemba All White Old School Night – (A party/event where attendees are encouraged to wear all-white outfits with focus on playing and celebrating “old school” music), 6pm at Solution Fun City.

All these activities have been designed to enable Ndi Anambra to enjoy the Christmas holiday season, and it is expected that everyone will participate in the celebrations to fully experience Anambra’s rich cultural heritage and entertainment.
