The Families of the Aro of Erin Osun , Chief Adeyemi Adegoke and his wife Janet Adegoke are yet to get over the shock of the death of the couple on the same day, January 8, 2026.

No it was not in an accident. According to those privy to the development, Chief Adegoke who had been ill for some time was the first to die . His death was attributed to the ailment that had assailed him. And the wife was with him when he breathed his last.
And so while arrangement was being made to take him to the mortuary, the wife who had been his chief carer during his ailment went into the room to change her clothes.

After waiting for quite some time and she did not emerge from the room, one of their relatives went in to check on her. She raised the alarm as she met Mrs Adegoke sprawled on the floor. She had slumped.

Concerted efforts were made to revive her to no avail. She had joined her husband to also answer the final call.

The burial of the couple has been scheduled for January 16 in their Hometown of Erin Osun where the husband was a prominent Chief .
