The Anambra State Police Command has unraveled the identity of the individual responsible for the violent conduct linked to the Agaba Awgbu masquerade.

The suspect has been identified as Ifesinachi Ezeolu, a 28-year-old male, following investigations into the incident that reportedly involved acts of intimidation and assault.

Police authorities reiterated that while cultural and traditional practices are respected and protected, no masquerade or cultural activity is permitted to infringe on the rights of citizens.

The Command stressed that actions involving violence, public disorder, or harassment remain punishable under the law, regardless of cultural context.

The Police further assured residents of their commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring that cultural expressions are conducted within the bounds of the law.
