The United Kingdom reaffirmed support for Nigeria’s SPRiNG programme, targeting violence reduction and institutional strengthening in northern states.

British High Commissioner Dr. Richard Montgomery called peace “central” to UK-Nigeria ties. The FCDO-funded initiative (2024–2028) promotes evidence-based conflict management, gender-inclusive security, and community resilience across Benue, Kaduna, Katsina, and Plateau.

SPRiNG aims to shift from reactive responses to structural prevention, fostering collaboration between government and civil society.
