A suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonated early Wednesday at the Bayelsa State Secretariat Complex in Yenagoa, prompting a swift security response.
Police said no casualties or damage were recorded, while one unexploded device was safely defused. A 60-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and is under investigation.
The state government ordered a four-hour closure of offices as a precaution, but authorities confirmed the situation has been contained.
