The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced a mock presidential election to test its electronic transmission systems ahead of the 2027 polls.

INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan said the presidential and National Assembly elections will hold on February 20, 2027, with governorship and state assembly polls set for March 6, 2027, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to electronic result transmission.
