Late singer Ifunanya Nwangene has been buried in her hometown in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, days after her tragic death.

Ms Nwangene was confirmed dead at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja, after she was bitten by a snake at her home on January 31, 2026.

The incident triggered an outpouring of shock, tributes, and condolences from fans and colleagues across social media platforms.

The FMC was accused of lacking anti-venom treatment, ultimately leading to the musician’s death, a claim the medical centre denied.

Widely regarded by admirers as exceptionally gifted, the singer was celebrated for her distinctive voice and deep passion for music.
