Actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a strong warning to actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, widely known as Baba Ijesha, instructing him to stop using her children as “bait” in his public narrative regarding his recent legal struggles.
This follows an interview where Baba Ijesha spoke about their strained relationship and mentioned her children, prompting Ojo to threaten legal action if the trend continues.
The Warning: Iyabo Ojo stated on social media that while Baba Ijesha can tell his story, he must “cease and desist” from involving her children, stating, “Stop using my children as bait… It won’t fly”.
Baba Ijesha’s Comments: Baba Ijesha, in a recent interview, expressed disappointment over Ojo’s stance during his 2021 case, recalling that she once trusted him with her children. He described her as a “product” of his and claimed he has never intended her harm, despite their falling out.
Ojo countered that her children were never alone with him, stating they were always with nannies or her late mother. She reiterated her support for the child victim in the sexual assault case, noting that “sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime”.
Legal Standing: Reports confirm that despite his release, Baba Ijesha was not acquitted of the 2021 sexual assault charges, with legal experts clarifying that he served his term as affirmed by the Court of Appeal.
