The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has authorised the redeployment of multiple senior officers across critical departments and units within the Nigeria Police Force.City & Local Guides
The directive was conveyed in an internal wireless message from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, marked “Most Immediate,” signalling the urgency of the postings.
Several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) were reassigned to strategic roles within the force.
AIG Ado Emmanuel was posted to the Department of Research and Planning at Force Headquarters, while AIG Joseph Eribo was assigned to the Armament Department.
Miller G. Dantawaye was deployed to Operations, and Henry Ifeanyi Uche to Training and Development.
Similarly, Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo was posted to Accounts and Budget, while Dahiru Mohammed was assigned to Zone 15, Maiduguri.
The reshuffle also saw Dankombo F. Morris posted to Zone 4, Makurdi, while Bello Shehu was redeployed to Zone 14, Katsina.
Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba was assigned to Legal Services, Ahmed Musa to Community Policing, and Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2 Command in Lagos.City & Local Guides
Simeon U. Akpanudom was redeployed to the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Lagos, while Haruna Olufemi assumed duty at the Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters.
The message directed all formations to update their records in line with the new postings.
The redeployments come on the heels of recent promotions within the force, with newly elevated AIGs and Commissioners of Police expected to formally assume their new ranks.
Sources within the police hierarchy disclosed that the redeployments were part of efforts to reposition the force for greater efficiency.
