The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has flagged extreme heat risks in states including Benue, Nasarawa, FCT, Kogi, Niger, Kebbi, Cross River, Oyo, and Ogun.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated, use sun protection, wear light clothing, and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure to prevent heat stress, exhaustion, or heatstroke, especially among children, the elderly, and outdoor workers.
