A Nigerian woman, Nihinlolawa Agoro, and two of her children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, have been confirmed dead following a devastating road accident in Texas, United States.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred around 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, along US-90A between Harlem Road and Pitts Road.
Authorities said an SUV carrying five occupants was traveling eastbound when a truck heading westbound reportedly lost control, crossed the median, and crashed head-on into the vehicle. The truck subsequently rolled over and caught fire.
Officials confirmed that three occupants of the SUV — an 18-year-old, a 22-year-old, and a 44-year-old woman — were pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, identified as a 20-year-old, alongside two children from the SUV — a 4-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl — sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash, including whether alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
The sheriff’s office noted that the victims were believed to be on their way to church at the time of the incident, based on their attire.
The tragic development was also confirmed by a family member, Lola Oni, in a Facebook post.
Authorities say investigations into the incident are ongoing.
