Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdullahi Ibrahim died along with his wife in a road crash on Friday..
He died in an accident at Okene Bye-pass in Kogi state.
His children who were travelling with him to Onitsha, his new post are responding to treatment in the hospital.
Between 2016 and 2019, Ibrahim was the commander MOPOL 24 in the State House.
Thereafter, he was posted to Onitsha, Anambra state as commander of the 54 PMF Squadron.
As head of MOPOL in the Villa, he had the task to ensure the safety of President Buhari and his motorcade.
Buhari was grief-stricken on learning about Ibrahim’s death today and expressed deep sadness.
“ACP Ibrahim was a highly dedicated officer, responsible and extremely reliable. He undertook his job most professionally.
“He knew what was expected of him and carried it out to the letter,” Buhari said.
He commiserated with the Government and people of Bauchi State , the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force on the loss of the ” highly dependable officer”.
