The trio of Mrs. Funke Egbemode, Mr. Charles Aniagwu and Mr. Gboyega Akosile are worthy honorees at the Trek Africa National Discourse 2020. The honors which will be done on 22nd November 2020 at the prestigious Golden Gate, Lagos is in recognition of their excellent information delivery and the admirable public relations for the governments of the respective states where they serve.
While Mrs. Funke Egbemode is the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation in Osun state, Mr. Charles Aniagwu is the Commissioner for Information in Delta state, and Mr. Gboyega Akosile is the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu.
The trio has shined the light for the media and public relations sphere and demonstrated capability for the young in the profession who look up to them. It should be recalled that Mrs. Funke Egbemode had previously served as the former Managing Director of New Telegraph Newspaper and former President of Editors Guild, Charles Aniagwu as former Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, and Gboyega Akosile was a seasoned journalist on many media platforms.
TAND 2020 promises to be a gathering of media bigwigs as the highly-engaging national discourse would be anchored by multi-award winning journalist and Group Head, Current and Public Affairs of TVC, Mr. Babajide Kolade Otitoju who is reputed to be the brain behind the popular sociopolitical TVC’s Journalists’ Hang-Out.

The Trek Africa Awards 2020 Criteria focus largely on Personality, Leadership style, Uncommon Patriotism, Entrepreneurship, Level of Success recorded and Degree of Societal Impact.
