Adamu Adamu, Minister of Education, has invited the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to an emergency meeting, following the threat to embark on another strike.

The meeting is scheduled to hold Tuesday by 11:00am at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, according to a statement by Director Press and Public Relations, Ben. Bem Goong.

The minister explained that the reason for the emergency meeting is to address the possibility of the union going on another strike.

ASUU had issued a notice of another industrial action after it called off its nine-month-old strike in January this year.

The union said the intended strike is over what it described as the refusal of the Federal Government to implement some of the agreements it entered into with it
