Lagos Neighborhood Safety Agency, LNSA, has trained all Corps Administrators of the agency on ways of strengthening relationship with other law enforcement agencies and residents of the State for improved policing and overall security of lives and properties.
The General Manager of the Agency, Prince Ifalade Oyekan
who addressed the officers during a refresher training on security alertness, underscored the need for the corps officers to be diligent in their operations.
In his interaction with the Divisional Administrative Officers across the local council areas at the event,
Oyekan emphasized the importance of safety and knowledge sharing especially amongst corps officers for the benefit of a safer Lagos.
Speaking to all the 114 corps administrators and their Assistants, the GM highlighted the significance of safety and security alertness between corps officers to the appropriate authorities, adding that the training was a way of promoting corps welfare and their alertness to their security responsibilities.
While saying that the gesture was a boost for the state security system and safety that cannot be over emphasized, Oyekan advised the officers not to put the integrity of the Agency in question.
Speaking to the corps officers on civil service rules and regulations, the guest speaker and a consultant Mrs Bolanle Owolabi who was also a retired civil servant informed them that “the bible of every civil servant is the civil service rules and regulations that guides a public servant” she said.
She enjoined every corp to have one as it is helps in maintaining discipline and encouraging sense of duty among others
The corps officers were given orientation on rules and regulations guiding officers’ conduct in the service according to the public service rules and the importance of the oath of secrecy.
Other facilitators that trained the corps officers were Mr. Oladele Oladiran from Lagos state Civil Service Commission, Mr. Saaka Temitope from Office of Establishment and Training, Mr. Temitope Akinlabi, Director Admin. and Human Resource and Mr. Adetiloye Ayodele, the Agency Training Officer.
