The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, has disclosed that they have acquired three high-powered Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) to aid in checkmating criminal activities.
He made this known in a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday.
Alkali said the newly-acquired drones will assist in monitoring crime.
“The newly acquired drones will surely assist the Police in monitoring active crime scenes, coordinating response operations, and providing armed aerial support to officers on reconnaissance operations,” part of the statement read.
