In its unrelenting effort to ensure a more secure and safer communities, Safety Signatures Limited, a Grade A Security Company has donated a Security and Crime Prevention Training Institute to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDSC) and the Ikorodu Community in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The official commissioning and handover of the project was carried out on Friday 9th December, 2022 at the Ikorodu Low Cost Housing Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos.
“This Project is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives of Safety Signatures Limited”, the Chief Executive Officer of the security company”, Dr. (Mrs) Cynthia Gregg told Citizen NewsNG.
While responding to questions from Citizen NewsNG, the CEO of Safety, Dr. Gregg said the Security and Crime Prevention Institute was built and commissioned to offer free training to recruit and officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDSC) and Nigerian youths to redirect their energies for productivity and self-developmemt.
She stated further that Safety Signatures is committed to support and partner with government security agencies and stakeholders in the industry to fight crime and social vices in the country.
Citizen NewsNG further reports that Dr. Gregg accompanied by Safety Signatures Officers and other security personnel led the inspection of the facility.
The Institute is well equipped with Lecture rooms, state-of-the-art security equipment, furniture, Projectors, Computer systems and other Teaching Aids.
Citizen NewsNG also gathered that Professional Instructors and security experts would be engaged to teach in the Institute.
While speaking with Citizen NewsNG, the Lagos NSCDC Command’s spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Corps ( DSC ) Abolurin Oluwaseun reiterated the Commandant General ( CG ), Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s commitment to protect lives and properties, curb crime and quackery in the private security industry.
Abolurin commended Safety Signatures Limited CEO, Dr. Gregg for her continued support and Partnership with Government security agencies and the paramilitary.
He urged other corporate Organisations to emulate the laudable Corporate Social Responsibly initiative of safety Signatures Limited.
Assistant Commissioner of Police ( ACP ) Bawa Sayidu, Area N Commander who represented the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command, CP Abiodun Alabi lauded Safety Signatures’ for its unrelenting synergy with security agencies. He described Dr. Gregg as a Partner in progress.
Security Personnel and stakeholders present at the Commissioning of the Project include the Area E, Area Commander of the NSCDS, ACC Ologunibi Mutiu, represented the Lagos State Commandant, Assistant Commissioner of Police ( ACP ) Bawa Sayidu, the Area N, Area Commander represented the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command, CP Abiodun Alabi and Stakeholders in the industry.
Also in attendance were Community leaders, Residents, Youhts, Management and Members of staff of Safety Signatures Limited among others.
