A daring Nigerian fellow who embarked on a grueling 5-day marathon adventure starting from the Lekki Toll gate in Lagos has ended up in the hospital.
He was captured in viral snapshots, reclining in a hospital bed, clearly feeling the burn and getting patched up.
A brave Nigerian lad named Wene who set off on an epic 5-day marathon race from Lagos to Port Harcourt in hopes of smashing the Guinness World Record appears to have run into some rough waters.
According to a report he shared on his Facebook page, and corroborated by a caption from “Wene Port Harcourt,” he’s currently laid up in the hospital, undergoing some necessary medical attention.
He wrote: “Unimaginable pain. I give everything time, distance? Time. Scars? Time. Disbelief? Still, time. Until then, Wene is home!”
He begun a five-day solo marathon from Lagos state to Port Harcourt, Rivers State to break a Guinness World Record.
The Port Harcourt youth informed netizens of his Guinness World Record attempt in a Facebook post on Sunday, October 15.
Wene admitted that it seemed like an impossible challenge and urged people to join him on the adventure.
A look at his flier for the exercise showed he kicked off his journey on Tuesday, October 17 and is expected to end it on October 21.
Wene took off from Lekki Toll Gate around 4: 00 am on Tuesday.
A post shared on his Facebook page on October 21 confirmed the completion of the 5-day marathon race as he finally arrived in Rivers State.
Meanwhile, the Guinness World Record has yet to release a statement or react to the completion of the 5-day marathon by the Nigerian man.
In reaction to his hospital photos, well-wishers have flooded the comment section of his page to send their best wishes.
