Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, convened a crucial meeting on Wednesday with headteachers from public primary schools and vocational centres across the local government area. The gathering, aimed at addressing the improvement of primary education in Kosofe, resulted in a series of ambitious commitments from the local government administration.
During the meeting, Ogunlewe unveiled plans for a comprehensive welfare package designed to benefit both staff and students in Kosofe’s public primary schools.
“Our administration recognises the pivotal role of primary education in shaping the future of our community,” Ogunlewe stated. “These commitments reflect our dedication to creating a conducive environment for learning and teaching in Kosofe.”
The meeting was attended by key education officials, including Mr Babatunde Soneye, the Education Secretary of Kosofe Local Government and Mr Nasiru Shamsideen, Head of Department for Education and Library Services. Their presence signifies the collaborative approach being taken to address educational challenges in the Kosofe.
The chairman assured attendees that implementation plans would be swiftly developed, with regular updates to be provided to all stakeholders. This proactive approach signals a new chapter in Kosofe’s educational development.
