In his Intensified effort to bolster Healthy Living among the Elderly residents on Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Dr. Dolapo Badru Organised a 2-Day House-To-House Medical Care Service across the Ten(10) Political Wards in Nigeria’s
Premier Local Government Area.

The Health Scheme was staged from Saturday 26 to Sunday 27 October, 2024.

This is the First of its kind in Lagos State.

Beneficiaries were screened for High Blood Pressure and Diabetes. The Patients were given medications based on their medical complaints.

In an electronic message, Dr. Badru said he set-up the Health intervention initiative to provide unhindered
access to Qualitative Healthcare service for the vulnerable on the Island.

The Frontline House Of Representatives Member reaffirmed his commitment to talking care of the senior citizens and the Needy in the Constituency.

The Head of the Medical Team, Dr. Felicia Ukeme Akpan stated that the Medical outreach was laudable and timely.

“They(the Beneficiaries) received the Medical Team with warm reception”, she said.

Dr. Akpan urged the Beneficiaries to go for regular medical checkup and maintain healthy lifestyle. She also encouraged them to eat balance diet.

She noted that healthy lifestyle lowers the risk of being seriously ill and untimely death.

An Octogenarian, Alhaja Taibat Oladeinde described Dr. Badru as a God-sent Individual whose interventions have renewed hope among the most vulnerable on Lagos Island Federal Constituency 1.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Abiola Lawal said Dr. Badru’s Social welfare scheme is Life-Transforming while his numerous
Constituency Projects are beneficial to Constituents.

On Saturday 2 November, 2024, Dr. Badru will distribute Assorted Food Items, Cash Gifts and Clothing materials to the Elderly Constituents across Lagos Island Local Government Area at the Council Secretariat, FSP, Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos.
