The long-standing rift between two of Nigeria’s biggest Fuji music stars, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and his former protégé, Alhaji Taiye Akande Adebisi, better known as Taye Currency, has finally been settled.
The reconciliation took place in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where both artists had traveled for the ongoing Umrah 2025. In a heartwarming gesture, Taye Currency visited Pasuma’s apartment in Mecca, where he offered a heartfelt apology to his musical godfather.
Pasuma, who had mentored Taye Currency in the early years of his career, embraced the apology and accepted it, calling for peace between them. The two artists, both icons in the Fuji music scene, have since urged their fans to let bygones be bygones, putting the past behind them and moving forward with renewed respect for each other.
Their reconciliation marks the end of a public feud that had stirred much controversy among their fans and the music industry. The emotional moment in Mecca serves as a testament to the power of forgiveness and the unifying spirit of their faith.
