A heavy paternity scandal is rocking gospel singer Tope Alabi’s camp as relatives and friends of Mayegun Olaoye Oyegoke, the biological father of her daughter Ayomiku, reportedly breaks silence after being completely shut out from his daughter’s wedding.
Family sources say Mayegun, also known as Olaoye, was left shattered after watching wedding videos online. The videos shows Soji Alabi playing the proud father role that Olaoye was denied.
Recall that before her marriage to Soji Alabi, Tope Alabi was in a relationship with Olalekan Oyegoke, also known as Mayegun Olaoye.
Their relationship resulted in the birth of Ayomikun in 1997.

In November 2020, Olaoye publicly claimed to be Ayomiku’s biological father, alleging that Tope Alabi had denied him access to their daughter for over two decades.
He stated that he and the singer were in a relationship while living in Akure, Ondo State and that their romance led to Ayomiku’s birth.
Tope Alabi, who is now married to Soji Alabi—her husband and music producer—has two other children with him.
Reports reveals that Olaoye fathered Ayomiku during his romance with Tope in the late 90s, but their relationship fell apart, and Tope left with the child.
For years, Ayomiku grew up knowing only Soji Alabi as her father, while her real dad was forcefully cut off by the gospel singer. The latest incident at the wedding, where Olaoye was neither invited nor mentioned, has now blown the hidden paternity war wide open.
Insiders revealed that Olaoye was deeply pained that Tope Alabi allowed another man to “collect bride price and stand as father,” while he was reduced to a spectator online.
This has sparked massive outrage, with critics accusing Tope Alabi of covering up the truth for years and building a false family image in public.
Social media is now on fire, as Nigerians demand that Ayomiku be told the real story about her roots. Many are calling on Olaoye to speak up publicly, saying it’s time the gospel singer stopped using fame to bury the truth.
